HOW IT WORKS

NANO does not operate as a traditional “push” system. Instead, it uses Mass Flow Regulation to maintain bottle pressure compensation throughout the run.

In conventional nitrous systems, as the bottle empties, the vapor space at the top increases. This larger vapor volume takes longer to refill and re-pressurize. At the same time, as liquid nitrous turns into vapor, the bottle temperature drops — slowing pressure recovery even further. The result is inconsistent flow and reduced performance, especially at higher horsepower levels or with larger bottles.

Traditional Nitrous Facts

  • A typical 10 lb nitrous bottle only delivers about 6 lbs of usable nitrous.

  • Performance depends heavily on both vapor volume and bottle temperature.

The Problem

  • Vapor pressure recovery time increases as bottle vapor volume expands and temperature drops.

  • As nitrous is consumed, vapor volume grows, liquid mass decreases, and bottle pressure becomes unstable.

The NANO Solution

  • Maintains a consistent mass flow rate of liquid nitrous oxide from full to empty.

  • Stabilizes vapor column volume and bottle vapor pressure.

  • Ensures steady, predictable power output from launch to finish line.

  • Works with setups ranging from 50 HP to 550 HP+.

In short: NANO eliminates the common power drop-off seen in traditional systems by keeping pressure, density, and flow consistent all the way down the track — giving you maximum and repeatable performance run after run.

What Is a PUSH System — and How Is NANO Technology Different?

At first glance, some people might mistake NANO Technology for what was once known as a PUSH system, but the two are completely different.

A PUSH system was an older method that attempted to increase nitrous pressure inside the bottle using an external “capping gas” such as nitrogen. This gas would pressurize the liquid nitrous oxide to artificially raise the bottle’s internal pressure — essentially acting as a vapor pressure override system. While this approach could momentarily boost pressure, it often caused instability, inconsistent flow, and safety concerns. Because of these drawbacks, PUSH systems were never widely accepted by the racing community.

NANO Technology, on the other hand, takes an entirely different approach. Instead of forcing extra pressure into the bottle, NANO maintains the nitrous oxide’s natural mass flow rate — the same steady flow that occurs when a bottle is full and at ideal operating temperature. In every run, temperature and pressure naturally change inside a nitrous bottle, affecting flow. The NANO system continuously compensates for these pressure and temperature variations, keeping the bottle at its natural vapor pressure regardless of how full or empty it is.

This automatic balancing process is known as Natural Pressure Vapor Compensation — the key to delivering consistent, repeatable nitrous performance from start to finish, without the risks or drawbacks of old “push” systems.

HPN Nitrogen vs. Air (HPA)
Why Did Push System Not Work Well
1. Used Nitrogen instead of HPA
2. Regulator Technology did not exist that would regulate “Mass Flow Rate”
3. Storage Vessel’s had limited storage volume and pressure.
